Beaches: Glenelg & Semaphore

Glenelg beach is our most popular and can be easily accessed by tram right from the heart of the city. There are endless restaurants, shops and cafes to choose from, and kids of all ages will be begging you to take them to The Beachouse amusement park with water slides, bumper boats, dodgem cars, arcade games and a toddler play castle. Oh and let’s not forget the brand new play space right on the waterfront.

Semaphore is a little further north west from the CBD, but it’s our family favourite. Choose from two fun filled playgrounds for the kids, the iconic Semaphore Palais pub, funky cafes, mini train rides plus leisure park with waterslide, Ferris wheel, carousel, mini golf and more! The heart of the CBD: Rundle Mall & Jamie’s Italian

There’s always something happening in Rundle Mall and we have every shop you could imagine. To the east is the trendy Rundle Street with designer stores and delectable restaurants. To the west you’ll find Jamie’s Italian who are so family friendly, whilst still keeping up with their gourmet and oh so tasty menu.

Nature: Botanic Gardens & Adelaide Zoo

We pride ourselves on having one mile of gardens surrounding out CBD, including the stunning Botanic Gardens. There are so many secrets trails for the kids to explore. So instagrammable – you’ll love it! A hop, skip and a jump away is the always evolving Adelaide Zoo including our famous panda duo Wang Wang and Funi. A beautiful nature play space, children’s petting zoo and so many animals to see makes it an enjoyable day for all.

Fun for the Kids! Crocs Play Centre & Lollipops Playland

Newly opened Crocs Play Centre is AH-mazing for all ages groups from babies to big kids. Babies & toddler areas, bouncy castle, regular + super steep slides, bike tracks and much more, PLUS a muffin break inside (yum). Lollipops is (in my opinion) just as good as crocs. Extras include equipment such as swings, bouncers for little babies (who can’t enjoy much else at a play cafe!) and a quiet room for kiddies who find it all a bit much. Older ones will squeal with joy on the pirate ship ride!

Head up to the Hills…to the Big Rocking Horse

To the west of the CDB are the beaches, and to the east are the picturesque Adelaide Hills. A 45 minute drive to the north east you’ll find yourself at the Big Rocking Horse in Gumeracha. This is an iconic South Australian tourist attraction with lots to keep the family entertained; including spacious cafe, wooden toy store (where the toys are made on site), and petting zoo.
